In my books Five Finger and Money Circles, I have offered solutions to the collapse that we are currently courting even when we import from China. But perhaps the current path to our collapse is one that is slower and the pain is gradual if we don’t wean ourselves off China’s products with our Five Fingers. But with Digital Superhighway, our collapse will be accelerated Super-Highway’s speeds and the pain will be instant. There are those who talk of disruptive technologies or blind adoption to them as inevitable or as tools of allocating opportunities to those locked out of the economy and to “democratize” trade. That is true in some instances. In this particular case however, e-commerce and its enabler the Digital Superhighway is a monopolizing tool for the West whose goal is to wrestle business from China but in doing so it will kill both Kenyan trades and the trader. In simple words, it will collapse the Kenyan economy!
